Air travel taxes
All persons (visitors and residents alike) are taxable under the Miscellaneous Taxes Act of 1976. Therefore, BM$25 is included in your airfare and will be collected in advance along with the ticket. Those in direct transit to another country and children under two years are exempt.

After entering the Bermuda International Airport Arrivals Hall, follow the signs directing visitors and nonresidents to the immigration desks. You will need to present your passport, roundtrip airline tickets, and the following documents which you will receive on your flight:
- Bermuda Immigration Passenger Forms - one for each adult and child
- A Bermuda Customs Declaration Form - one for each family
Before you leave the immigration desk, you will receive a coloured Customs card.
After you collect your luggage, you will be greeted by a Customs officer who will take your coloured Customs card, examine your bags and send you through the exit or to the Customs Hall for a baggage check.
Transport
Ample taxis are available at the airport to transport you to your hotel.
- Approximate fare (not including tip) to Hamilton is BM$20; to St. George's, BM$10; to South Shore hotels, BM$25; and to the West End (Dockyard), BM$38
- A BM25¢ surcharge is added for each piece of luggage stored in the trunk or on the roof
- Fares are 25 percent higher between midnight and 6am, all day on Sunday and on public holidays
- Depending on traffic, the driving time to Hamilton is about 30 minutes; time to the West End is about one hour
- In order to keep island pollution and traffic at a minimum, rental cars are not permitted on our island

We recommend you check in at the Bermuda International Airport two hours before your departure time.
STEP 1:
- Make sure to have your airline tickets, passport and a Bermuda Immigration Passenger Form with the departure portion completed.
- Passengers travelling to the US will also need a US Customs Declaration Form, CF 6059B, available at the airport, completed and signed.
STEP 2:
- US-bound travellers will then proceed through US Customs & Border Protection checks. (This will save time on arrival at your US destination)
- After check-in, all passengers may purchase items from the Duty Free Store

- Airport security checks follow, prior to boarding your flight
